DMCA Policy

"Snapchat Down?" (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to our site and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

Filing a DMCA Notice of Copyright Infringement

To file a notice of copyright infringement, you must provide a written communication that includes substantially the following:

Counter-Notification Procedures

If you believe that material you posted on our site was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. To be effective, your counter-notification must be a written communication provided to our DMCA Agent and must include substantially the following:

  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled: This must include the location (URL) at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the subscriber has a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • The subscriber's name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that the subscriber consents to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located, or if the subscriber's address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which "Snapchat Down?" may be found, and that the subscriber will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
  • A physical or electronic signature of the subscriber.
